It looks like Acer may soon begin shipping a version of its popular Aspire VGP-BPS13 One netbook that’s powered by AMD’s new Fusion platform, rather than Intel Atom. Macles, a blog that has often carried accurate Acer leaks in the VGP-BPS13A/B past, reports that the new system will be called the Aspire One 522 and will be powered by the AMC C-50 APU, with two 1-GHz cores and Radeon 6250 graphics capable of supporting Direct X11 games and UVD video decoding. The Samsung RF510 ($729 on Amazon) answers the VGP-BPS9 call for versatility by combining a Core i5 processor with discrete Nvidia graphics, stylish looks, and a responsive keyboard. But is this 5.6-pound system really good enough to play demanding games VGP-BPS10 or full HD videos?

Design
At 14.9 x 10.1 X 1.5 inches and 5.6 pounds, the RF510 is too bulky to carry around all day, but is vgp-bps8 light enough to move from the living room to the bedroom and then the kids' room in a flash. According to Macles, the Aspire One 522 will have the same chassis design, keyboard, and touchpad as several other 10.1-inch Acer vgp-bps13a/q netbooks, including the Aspire One D255. However, it will have a 1280 x 720 (aka 720p) screen and an HDMI out port that vgp-bps13/b allow users to take full advantage of its faster graphics. It will also come in, among other colors, a nice light green color vgp-bps13/q (shown above).

Though sized like a family PC, the Samsung RF510 has a sleek, black aesthetic that looks equally at home in the Lenovo 3000 v200 battery living room and conference room. The glossy black lid, which resists most fingerprints, is emblazoned with a chrome Samsung logo and accented Lenovo 3000 n100 battery by chrome hinges and chrome lines on the left and right sides. Keyboard and Touchpad

Heat
The Samsung RF510 stayed pleasantly cool throughout our testing. This isn’t the first device we’ve seen a gyroscope in (Apple introduced one in the iPhone 4), vgp-bps21a but this is certainly taking advantage of it in a new way.
